Species Account:
Dermatobranchus sp. 2 is considered to be very rare on Okinawa as I have collected a total of only two individuals; both specimens were found at Horseshoe Cliffs at the deep fore reef slope amid mixed sand and strewn coral rubble. The 31mm individual was found crawling upon hydroid-covered coral rubble; the 23mm specimen was found on a colony
of Halameda algae.
Dermatobranchus sp. 2 is similar to D. semistriatus and may well be the same species.
