Opisthobranch of the Week Data
Taxonomy:
As of the current date I've not personally seen specimens of the above unknown Glaucid sp. 3 here in the waters of Okinawa's main island. Atsushi Ono kindly furnished the image and data for the featured animal and he considers the species to be rare in waters of the Keramas* and reports (pers. comm.) seeing several individuals but collecting only a single specimen. Atsushi goes on to say that the above animal was found on a shallow reef.
Glaucid sp. 3 is one of several undescribed glaucids known from Okinawan waters; previously I've featured on these pages the following undescribed glaucids:
