Species Account:
Gymnodoris sp. 2 is considered to be very rare on Okinawa as I have seen and collected a total of only a single specimen. The animal was collected while turning large chunks of coral rubble from a surge channel amid spur & groove formations approximately 5m from a rocky shore. The collection was made during a day dive just prior to making an exit from the water.
