Species Account:
Marionia sp. 1 is considered to be very rare on Okinawa as I have seen and collected only a single individual over a period of more than twenty years of diving here. The animal was found crawling in an area heavily populated with miscellaneous Acropora corals and silty sand. The animal was found approximately 12m from shore.
