Species Account:
Phyllodesmium magnum is considered to be rare on Okinawa as I have collected a total of seven individuals. Two of the individuals were collected together at Horseshoe Cliffs on 14 June 1990 and on 6 May 1991, three additional specimens were simultaneously collected. In all cases, these animals were found on the underside of coral rubble in five feet of water.
