Species Account:
Platydoris scabra is considered to be very rare on Okinawa based on the fact that only two specimens have been collected; in all fairness to the preceding comment on rarity, certainly other individuals have been seen and not collected by this
investigator, but the instances were not recorded. Of the two collected individuals, one (the Tengan specimen) was part of a large series of invertebrates collected between 20 & 40ft of water and the size was not recorded.
