Opisthobranch of the Week Data
Taxonomy:
Siphopteron quadrispinosum is considered to be very rare on Okinawa as I have seen and collected a total of only two individuals over a period of more than twenty years of diving here. The featured animal was found crawling on the surface of mixed silty-sand and strewn coral rubble. Both of the collected animals were found in the same habitat at the same collecting site. The animals are found during the same time that another Gastropterid is found in relatively large numbers, S. tigrinum.
